Children’s Policy:
- Children from 7-17 years old can stay for an extra EUR 40.00 per child per night. Children under 7 years old are not allowed.
Flexible 30 days Cancellation Policy:
- Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival. The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if they cancel within 30 days of arrival.
- The hotel reserves the right to charge up to a 30% deposit/prepayment at the time of booking.
Non-refundable Policy:
- The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if they cancel anytime.
- The guest will be charged a prepayment of the total price of the reservation anytime.
Guest Property & Damage Policy
At Onyx Hotel & Suites, we strive to provide our guests with a comfortable, high-quality experience. To maintain these standards for everyone, guests are required to treat hotel property, rooms, and facilities with care and respect.
1. Guest Responsibility for Damages
Full Financial Liability: The registered guest is fully responsible and legally liable for any damage, destruction, loss, or theft caused to the hotel room, furnishings, fixtures, appliances, amenities, or general hotel property during their stay.
Scope of Liability: Liability applies to damages caused by the registered guest, as well as any visitors or individuals permitted into the room or onto the premises by the guest.
2. Types of Damages & Fees
Damages include, but are not limited to:
Physical Damage: Broken furniture, damaged walls/doors, stained or damaged carpets, broken electronics, or damaged plumbing fixtures.
Linens & Towels: Excessive staining (dye, blood, ink, bleach, etc.), burning, or tearing of bedding, towels, or curtains.
Prohibited Activities:
Smoking: A minimum fee of 500 euros will be charged for deep cleaning and deodorization if smoking (cigarettes, e-cigarettes/vapes, cannabis) occurs in non-smoking areas or rooms.
Unapproved Pets: A cleaning/deodorizing fee of 500 euros will apply for unauthorized pets.
Loss of Room Key/Fob: A replacement fee of 50 euro per key card/fob.
Loss of Hotel Revenue (Out-of-Order Fee): If a room is damaged to the extent that it cannot be re-rented, the guest will be charged the daily room rate for every day the room remains out of service for repairs or deep cleaning.
3. Assessment and Payment Process
Pre-Authorization: Upon check-in, a valid credit card and government-issued photo ID are required. The hotel reserves the right to place a temporary hold/pre-authorization on the card for incidental charges.
Inspection: Rooms are inspected by housekeeping and management prior to check-in and immediately following check-out. Any pre-existing damage should be reported to the Front Desk within [30 minutes] of check-in to avoid being held responsible.
Automatic Charge: If damage is discovered during or after your stay, Onyx Hotel & Suites reserves the right to automatically charge the registered guest’s credit card on file for the full cost of repairs, professional cleaning, item replacement, and lost revenue.
Itemized Receipt: In the event of a damage charge, an itemized invoice detailing the costs will be provided to the guest via email.
4. Severe Violations
In cases of deliberate, malicious, or excessive damage, Onyx Hotel & Suites reserves the right to:
Immediately evict the guest without a refund for remaining nights.
Ban the guest from future stays at the property.
Report the incident to local law enforcement authorities and pursue legal action for full recovery of costs.
